Accessibility statement

Our aim

ScAIentist® wants everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device they use and however they read it. We build it to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the level the European standard EN 301 549 refers to.

This statement covers www.rounds-for.dev: the home page, the checklist at /learn and the legal pages, in all nine languages. The Rounds panel on our customers' websites and our own dashboard are not part of it; we check them separately.

How far we are

The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA: most of it meets the standard, and what does not yet is listed below. This is our own assessment; no outside body has audited the website.

Display settings

The button with the accessibility symbol in the header (on a phone, in the menu) changes how the website looks for you: light or dark, text in three sizes, higher contrast and less motion. The website also follows what your device already asks for: dark mode, more contrast and reduced motion. Your settings stay on your device, as the privacy notice describes.

The home page tells its story in scenes that play as you scroll. With less motion, or wherever a scene would not fit on the screen, the same story is shown as still pictures and text, and nothing of it is lost.

What is not yet as it should be

We know of these gaps and are working on them:

  • We have checked the website automatically and with the keyboard, but not yet by hand with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA or TalkBack. That is next.
  • The small screens drawn in the home page's story (a phone and the Rounds change log) keep the size of real screens when you choose larger text. Zooming the page (Ctrl or Cmd and +) enlarges them too.
  • The checklist at /learn is shown in light colours only, even in dark mode.
  • The e-book offered after checkout (PDF and EPUB) has not been checked to the same standard yet. If you need it in another form, write to us and we will send it.

How we checked

On 3 October 2026 we checked every page of the website in all nine languages, in light and dark mode, at phone and desktop sizes and with each display setting, using axe-core, an open-source accessibility checker. We also went through the pages with the keyboard alone, at normal size and zoomed to 200% and 400%. We run the automated checks again before we publish changes to the website.

Tell us

If something on this website is hard or impossible for you to use, write to info@scaientist.com and tell us which page and what happened. We aim to answer within five working days and, where we can, to send you what you were looking for in a form that works for you.
